FUMITEX™ is crafted from high-quality materials originally designed to meet the stringent standards of the automotive industry. This fabric is light yet exceptionally durable, resistant to water, and maintains a refined, luxurious feel. Automotive interiors, which must endure harsh environments and extreme temperature shifts, require a minimum durability of 10 years. FUMITEX™ passed a stringent 10-year aging test conducted at 70°C and 95% humidity. Unlike typical synthetic leathers, which often degrade and become sticky over time due to the common use of lower-cost polyurethane resins, FUMITEX™ is made with a special resin highly resistant to hydrolysis, minimizing deterioration over the years.
