素材へのこだわり

素材には、合成皮革とは異なる人工皮革という素材を使用しています。人工皮革は高級車の内装で使用されている日本製の高耐久ヴィーガンレザーです。上品な質感と触り心地でありながら、驚くほどの軽さと、高い耐久性を実現しています。
防水性があり、汚れてもアルコールで拭き取りお手入れができるのでホワイトカラーも安心です。

「CARINA」に使用している竹を原材料としたバイオマスヴィーガンレザーについて

「バイオマスヴィーガンレザー」とは石油に由来しない植物素材で作られたヴィーガンレザーのことです。​​「CARINA」のイエローグリーンとホワイトには、徳島県の間伐した竹を原材料にしたバイオマスヴィーガンレザーを使用しています。

より環境に配慮した素材を使用するため、竹の成長スピードの早さによる原材料としての継続供給可能性と、間伐した竹を使用することで放置竹林問題（※）の解決に寄与できる点に着目しました。バイオマス素材を使用していながら、高耐久で本皮を凌駕する上質な質感である点も特徴です。

※竹は繁殖力が高く、根を浅くはる特徴があるため周囲へと浸食し、他の樹木の成長に大きな影響を及ぼします。

この素材は創業以来お世話になっている素材メーカーの担当者様が「国産での製造」と「高い品質」へこだわりをもって2年ほどかけて社内を説得しながら企画開発に成功された素材です。詳細は素材開発ストーリーをご覧ください。
